NOD! a triple entendre

This lighthearted piece explores and parodies some of the flute and piccolo’s most important moments in the history of its literature while its theatrical elements poke fun at the traditions of the classical music performer in the eccentric concert setting.

Parodied repertoire includes Cécile Chaminade’s Flute Concertino, W. A. Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major, and John Philip Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.
